WASHINGTON (July 23, 2025) – Today, the Partnership to Address Global Emissions (PAGE) issued the below statement announcing that Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt has joined the coalition’s Advisory Council.

PAGE is pleased to welcome our newest Advisory Council member, Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, who brings decades of diplomatic experience, relationships with key foreign officials, and a distinguished record of leadership on international energy policy, transatlantic cooperation, and climate solutions. Most recently, he served as Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources and – prior to that – as U.S. Ambassador to Greece and Ukraine, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening American alliances and advancing global energy security.

“We are honored to officially welcome Ambassador Pyatt to PAGE’s Advisory Council,” said Chris Treanor, Executive Director, PAGE. “His expertise at the intersection of diplomacy, energy security, and climate action will be invaluable as we work to reduce global emissions and combat the weaponization of energy resources through expanded  U.S. natural gas exports.”

Pyatt joins a diverse group of leaders from industry, labor, NGOs, and climate advocates  who advise PAGE on advancing policies that reduce global emissions, strengthen the U.S. economy, and enhance energy security.

“I am delighted to join PAGE’s Advisory Council,” said Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt. “Amid geopolitical instability and rapidly increasing energy demand, natural gas will continue to play an indispensable role in global energy systems. The U.S. is fortunate to possess an abundance of natural gas resources, and I look forward to continue working with PAGE to ensure we use those resources as a force for good in the world.”
