U.S. Leadership on AI and Global Energy Security Relies on Natural Gas

America’s energy industry is facing multiple frontiers of unprecedented demand growth from domestic AI data centers to securing allies’ energy supply and supporting global human development.

Satisfying these demand sources is not an either-or proposition, as winning the AI race and ensuring authoritarian regimes can’t weaponize energy are both national security priorities.

Natural gas must play a role in this effort as we need to leverage ALL of our energy resources to meet the moment. But we need permitting reform to build out needed infrastructure so we unlock our natural resources to power the future of AI and secure the world’s energy by exporting more U.S. natural gas.
