PAGE Commends DOE for Common Sense Approach to LNG Export Commencement Extensions

LNG export facilities are pillars of job creation and trade development for the U.S while delivering the cleanest and most secure natural gas to our allies. However, the previous regulatory framework presented unnecessarily inflexible deadlines for export facilities, jeopardizing our economic growth and national security. Understanding the consequential nature of denying an extension, PAGE agrees with the DOE that each request should be considered holistically on its merits consistent with pre-2023 policy.

PAGE commends Secretary of Energy Chris Wright for reducing barriers to exporting LNG and will continue engaging with DOE and Congress to introduce policies that unlock the potential of America’s natural gas resources.
