WASHINGTON (June 3, 2025) – Today, the Partnership to Address Global Emissions (PAGE) issued the below statement in response to the Department of Energy (DOE) releasing its Response to Comments on the 2024 LNG Export Study.
PAGE welcomes the DOE releasing its Response to Comments on the 2024 LNG Export Study, which affirms the vital role of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports in enhancing America’s energy security, supporting economic growth, and contributing to global climate progress. We are particularly encouraged that the DOE cited PAGE’s analysis throughout the final study—an important recognition of the coalition’s contribution to the public record and policy dialogue.
The DOE’s comprehensive review confirms that U.S. LNG can reliably meet both domestic and global demand while boosting U.S. economic competitiveness, enhancing our national security, and displacing dirtier fuels such as coal and fuel oil. The response clearly demonstrates that LNG exports serve the public interest and should be a central pillar of U.S. foreign, energy, and climate policy.
As policymakers consider America’s energy future, PAGE urges leaders to heed this evidence-based analysis and support solutions that advance climate, energy security, and economic objectives together. PAGE looks forward to continue working with DOE and Congress to ensure that the LNG export approval process is as smooth and timely as possible.
