WASHINGTON, DC – [March 24,2026] – Today, the Partnership to Address Global Emissions (PAGE) issued the below statement in support of Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt’s appointment of Alan Armstrong, former Executive Chairman of Williams Companies, to the United States Senate, filling the seat vacated by Senator Markwayne Mullin:

PAGE commends Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt for appointing Alan Armstrong, former Executive Chairman of Williams Companies, to the U.S. Senate. Armstrong's nearly four decades of energy sector leadership, including over a decade as CEO of one of North America's largest natural gas infrastructure companies, make him an exceptional addition to Congress at this pivotal moment for American energy policy.

During his tenure as CEO of Williams Companies and as a PAGE founding member, Armstrong has championed innovations to reduce methane emissions and pipeline permitting reform as critical industry priorities, reflecting his commitment to advancing U.S. natural gas as the cleanest, most affordable, and most reliable in the world.

Armstrong brings invaluable perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing American energy, and PAGE is eager to work with him in the U.S. Senate to continue advancing the initiatives he advocated for throughout his career. Congress must act now on comprehensive pipeline permitting reform to build the infrastructure needed to meet growing demand and keep energy affordable.
